Joint weekend school with North Wales area and the Cumberland area the two smallest N.U.M. areas. It was held at the Lancashire miners' home in Blackpool. Joe Gormley was the guest speaker just before he retired. Rosemarie Williams is presenting Joe Gormley with a bowl. On the other side of Rose is Bill Proud who was the N.U.M. agent for the Cumberland area. The bowl was designed by Ted McKay (stood at extreme left of photograph) with a celtic pattern and was made locally.
