Roman glass bowl
Almost complete mould-blown hemispherical cup or bowl of two fragments joined, produced in a two-part body mould with a separate base piece. Vertical rim, a lightly smoothed, convex side and concave base. Portion of rim missing. Two vertical mould-seams visible on the rim, shoulder and body. One hundred closely-set vertical ribs in low relief on the body (50 in each mould part), beginning at the shoulder and terminating above two horizontal cordons on the lower body. There are three raised concentric rings and a central pellet on the base. Mid-1st century A.D.
