Early Medieval copper alloy ringed pin
Upper part of a ringed pin shaft, head intact but ring is missing. Shaft is broad and circular in cross-section and the head is broadly square with central circular perforation for the ring. There is faint decoration on both sides of the pin head. On one side is an incised saltire with a dot in each quadant. On the other side a saltire is observed but it is not certain to contain dots as corrosion appears on the surface. Edges of the head are slightly worn.
