Coal cleaning plant, photograph
Black and white photograph showing coal on the way to be cleaned at a coal cleaning plant.
This photograph shows the trams in which the coal is received from the pit are pushed into "tipplers", which turn them over, thus causing the coal to pour out and pass on to the screens, where the small coal is separated from the large.
