Plate, earthenware, inset base, curving sides and spreading concave rim, a lobed edge to the rim; transfer-printed in blue with the 'Palladian Porch' pattern, to the centre of the well an octagonal panel containing an Eastern scene with a palladian-style porch, a male figure leading a camel under an archway, and in the foreground a rowing boat pulling up at a flight of steps, the panel surrounded by a vermicelli ground, to the rim a border of fruit, flowers and acanthus leaves.
