Cup, hard-paste porcelain, inset base, flaring cylindrical sides, plain loop handle; to the front of the exterior body an oval panel finely painted in puce monochrome with the figure of a sleeping child or putto, the panel enclosed by a gilt band, a gilt dentil edge to the exterior lip-rim, the handle picked out in gilt. Several narrow cracks to the body.
