Jug, white smear-glazed stoneware, oval body, standing on a shallow spreading foot, body intensely vitrified and slightly distorted, the interior glazed; neck and foot turned, sprigged with a band of acanthus leaves below a frieze of mythological figures comprising on one side four putti and a goat from `Drunken Silenus' and on the other Venus and Adonis and three Maenads flanking a wreath with the inscription COTTAGE LLANBERIS in a black rustic script, band of vine leaves and grapes above; angular loop handle with shell and scroll terminals; foliate spout (restored)
