Roman copper alloy Dolphin brooch
The bow has the continous curve of the Dolphin form with, perhaps, a slight widening of the head. The brooch is fragmentary and much of what survives is in poor condition. The surviving piece of the cross bar has a narrow margin defined by an incised line of the front edge only. The bow is ornamented with a central beaded rib. The catchplate had simple openwork ornament.
