Medieval silver gilt ring
A silver gilt decorative ring, complete. It has a rectangular bezel with a median ridge (creating two facets), which continues onto the shoulders of the hoop. The bezel is engraved with hatched dashes in a crude zig-zag pattern, either side of the ridge. The shoulder sections of the hoop have a slightly different arrangement, but essentially retain the same decorative motif.
