Portrait in oils of Mrs Elizabeth Evans (1756-1831), mother of Rev. Evan Evans (Ieuan Glan Geirionydd). She is pictured seated at a table writing a letter with quill pen commencing 'Annwyl Fab' (Dear Son). A red quill cutter is on the table and, at her right elbow a letter addressed to herself. She is wearing a red dress with full sleeves tight at the wrists. Her shoulders are covered by a shawl with a spotted pattern. She is wearing a white bonnet, frilled around the face with broad red ribbon around the crown.
