Seal impression: Royal
Obverse. King William IV crowned and seated in royal robes on a carved high-back throne, an orb with diminutive cross in his left hand, a sceptre held by his right hand, his feet resting on a dais of two steps. Above is a shield of the royal arms, encircled by the Garter with its motto, and ensigned with a royal crown. On the monarch’s right stands Minerva helmeted, with a spear; to his left stands Neptune, bearded and holding his trident. Beyond them, seated on the steps, are dext. Peace holding a branch of myrtle, and Plenty with cornucopiae; sin. Religion and Justice. In exergue, a caduceus entwined with flowering branch of the three national flowers. No legend, in its place a wreath of oak leaves bound with fillets.
