Pepper-caster
Pepper caster, earthenware, standing on a flaring foor with a circular aperture to the centre of the base, the body curving out to a bulbous shoulder, cylindrical neck wirh flat top, the top and neck of the caster pierced with scattered holes; transfer-printed in blue with around the body the 'Willow' pattern, showing pagodas, fences, three figures crossing a bridge and two swallows flying above, the neck and top of the caster covered with a dark blue cell-pattern ground.
