Plate, blue tinged white earthenware, cushion moulded, spreading sides, flaring to form rim; transfer printed in brown in the centre with a boy leading a giraffe, in the background an obelisk surrounded by foliage and Eastern-style buildings with domes and turrets, a peaked mountain and a lake; the rim, with ornate scrolls, lattice work and flowers on a brown ground with a dotted and looped inner border.
