ss. THORA DAN (7123gt ) : Liberty ship built 1943 as HOKE SMITH by Southeastern Shipbuilding Corp., for the US War Shipping Administration (managed by American Export Lines Inc., New York). 1946 – Laid up as part of the James River Reserve Fleet. 1947 – Sold to Rederiet Ocean A/S and renamed THORA DAN (managed by J. Lauritzen, Copenhagen). 1948 – Sold to Cia de Nav. Aeolus SA, Panama, and renamed SPALMATORI (managed by Lemos & Pateras, London). 1960 – Sold to Cia de Vapores Realma SA, and renamed MASTRO-STELIOS II (managed by Vlassopulos, London). 1961 – Ownership transferred to Ulysses Shipping Enterprises, Panama, without change of name or manager. 1965 – Sold to First Freighters Ltd., Johannesburg, and renamed WENDY H. She was broken up at Valencia in 1967.
