Black wallet containing five membership cards. Two for The Japanese Labour Camp Survivors' Association of Great Britain, and one each for Cardiff Far East Prisoner of War Association, The Far East Prisoner-of-War (1941-45) Association, and Southend & District F.E.P.O.W. Association, 1980s-1990s.
Part of a collection of items belonging to Ronald Holder. Ronald Holder was born in Abercynon in 1914. During the Second World War he joined the Royal Signals. Early in the war he was captured in Java, and spent three and a half years as a Prisoner of War in the hands of the Japanese. He was liberated by the Gurkha’s and eventually came back to Wales via the troop ship M.V. Teglelberg.
