Album

Album containing advertisements and newspaper cuttings for colliery equipment. The cuttings are mainly from the 1920's, but also include a few newspaper cuttings from the 1890's. Includes a newspaper cutting showing photograph of the colliery tip which collapsed onto the railway line at Ogmore Vale on 16 February 1928. Most are pasted into the album, but some are loose. Brown hardback cover. Printed on the inside page: 'Walker's Century Scrap & Newspaper Book (patented) No.4 (No.4 size) 100 Pages.' The album also contains a 'Safety First' poster folded and stuck into the album, full title: 'TRAPS / Trap made by Boy [with a drawing of a bird trap] / Traps made by Careless Men [with a drawing of pit props] / SAFETY FIRST'.
