Rhymney ironworks, photograph
Black and white photograph of Rhymney, Upper furnace. This is possibly the remains of the original furnace. A building nearby which the locals inform me (P.G Rattenbury) was used as a store and workshop, but is now a cow shed and dwelling, is dated 1802, which is the reputed date of the founding of the Rhymney Ironworks.
