FORT ERIE (7128gt) : North Sands type, built 1943 at United Shipyards Ltd., Montreal (engine by Dominion Engineering Works), for the Canadian Government, managed for MoWT by Frank S.Dawson Ltd., Cardiff. 1946 – Transferred to MOT, managed by Jubilee Steam Navigation Co. 1951 – Sold to Fort Erie Steamship Co., London, and renamed MAIDENHEAD, managed by Hadoulis Ltd. 1957 – Sold to Aguaruta Cia Nav., Monrovia, and renamed ARISTEFS. 1960 – Ownership transferred to Pergamos Cia Nav., Beirut (same name). 1966 – Sold to Tung Lee Navigation Co., Hong Kong, and renamed TUNG YIH (Panama flag). She was broken up at Keelung in 1967.
