Wool winder
Hand type of skein winder. Central shaft extends to form handle, with leather disc and pin at top. Two carved pieces of wood are fitted at an interval of 19.3cm with two round lengths of wood to act as stretchers. The top and bottom piece have crudely carved knobs at the end. The wool would be wound round these, which curve slightly outwards. Cottage type of woodcarving.
