Medieval pottery jug
Jug rim sherd with strap handle and partial body. Just beneath the rim on the exterior surface is a neck cordon with simple rouletted pattern. The strap handle is slash-decorated at both terminals and a single line of diagonally set slashes run vertically along the channel of the handle.

Site Name: Tredegar Park, Newport: Gwent
Date: 1977
Notes: found on a housing site. Reportedly recovered in late 1977 during building operations near St. Joseph's School, Tredegar Park. The discovery of the pottery was only reported after work on the site was completed and there appears to be no additional information available concerning the find-spot itself.
