Patchwork bedcover
Patchwork bedcover made from woollen melton cloth patches (mainly red, blue, sage and beige). Central rayed circle within a square. Inner border of quarter circle patches making up circular motifs. Remainder consists of rows of diamonds within squares. Fringe made from epaulette trimming. Supposedly made over a 15 year period from scraps of fabric used for military uniforms by Edward Tunnah of Rhosllannerchrugog during the reign of King George III. He was a tailor who worked at the Royal Shop in London.
