Roman copper alloy harness stud, enamelled
Harness stud of common type, with an inserted stud. The decoration is disposed in a central disc surrounded by two rings. The centre is red enamel: the inner ring is of blue-and-white chequered glass mosaic in a blue background, and the outer ring originally had eight chequers of blue-and-white outlined in red, spaced symmetrically in a seting of yellow enamel.
