ss SKELDERGATE (4251gt) : Completed 1930 by Burntisland Shipbuilding Company Ltd., Burntisland, for Turnbull, Scott & Co., London. She survived World War 2 unscathed, but on 17th November, 1950, she was carrying wheat from Wallaroo, South Australia, to Calcutta when a cyclone drove her ashore at False Bay in the Bay of Bengal, where she was wrecked.
