Discharge book issued to William Henry New
Blue card/textile cover with Ministry of Transport emblem and 'Department of Trade and Industry, Seaman's Discharge Book' printed in gold on front cover. Two rectangular sections have been cut away of front (with plastic over top) to show seaman's name (William 'Harry' New) and number (R24308) handwritten on first page. Biographical details and black and white photograph of New at front. Discharge details handwritten and stamped on first few pages, dated 1973-77. At back of booklet are loose pages, including Certificate of competency, 1953.
