Rockingham (Pottery, C18, aka Swinton Pottery)
Ewer, porcelain, inverted tear-drop shape with a narrow neck and a high pouring lip with a shaped edge, the base is moulded from two acanthus leaves and two claw feet, scroll handle; the edges are gilded and the bottom and base of the ewer are gilded and moulded from acanthus leaves, the body is encrusted with flowers that form two reserve panels and the neck is encrusted with flowers.
