Jacket

Neon-red construction worker's jacket. Worn by Peter Randles when he was the Design Manager for the construction of the Millennium Stadium, 1997-99. He worked for O'Brien Kreitzberg who were the project managers for the build. The PPE clothing was issued to all staff by Laing. Mr Randles' office was in St David's House, Wood St, Cardiff. He would visit the construction site on a daily basis.

The jacket has a hood and black zip fastening down centre front. The zip covered by 'storm flap' fastened by five black poppers. Two hip pockets with flap closure. Neck protected by flap with Velcro® fastening. Inner, elasticated cuffs of self fabric. Printed inscriptions on left chest and upper back. Synthetic fabric coated with AQUATHANE (a two component aliphatic polyurethane solvent based coating system) which gives protection against chemicals, abrasion and inclement weather. Two plastic coated fabric labels at inner neck, and a black fabric loop for hanging jacket.
