Roman copper alloy Trumpet brooch
Small trumpet brooch of the devolved type, with cast head loop and pedestal. The bow is decorated with a moulding of two simple lobes on the neck and a waist-moulding with debased petalling (so called 'acanthus'). The pin is complete with one end simply twisted once around the axial bar, which is held in place between two pierced plates.
