'Cool Cymru' dress worn by Sara Williams to promote the first elections to the National Assembly for Wales in 1999.
Machine stitched mini dress incorporating design of the Welsh flag. High waisted skirt made of green polyester (?) bodice and narrow shoulder straps made of white polyester. Large red dragon (cut from a synthetic Welsh flag and reinforced with bondaweb interlining) is appliquéd onto the dress with head at left breast and tail at back (copy of original sketch in accession file together with newspaper cuttings). 35.5cm long white Nylon zip fastening at centre back. Additional hook and eye fastening at top. Appliqué is zig-zag stitched using black thread.
