Bowl, hard-paste porcelain, standing on a rounded spreading waisted foot-rim, rounded curving sides; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to one side of the exterior body of the bowl two exotic birds perched on the spreading branches of a tree with rocks below, and to the other side of the exterior body an exotic bird perched on rocks, around the rest of the exterior body scattered insects, including a butterfly, and green leafy sprigs, to the interior bottom of the bowl a butterfly with a green leafy sprig to one side, a slightly worn gilt edge to the lip-rim.
