Reverend Thomas Thomas (1805-1881)
GRIFFITH, James Milo (1843-1897)
James Milo Griffith was born in Pembrokeshire and trained at the Royal Academy. He had numerous Welsh clients and later taught sculpture in San Francisco. The Reverend Thomas Thomas (1805 - 1881) was a minister and the Principle of the Baptist College, Pontypool. This posthumous bust was commissioned by his son Thomas Henry Thomas (1839 - 1915) a naturalist, artist and antiquarian, who donated many works to the Cardiff Museum and the National Museum of Wales.
