Holocene red deer bone
REd deer scapula with cut marks at 30 degrees to the axis and pronounced linear abrasion: the abraded area shows a pronounced polish. The cut marks, abrasion and polish are concentrated on the distal and on the audal edge fo the infraspinous fossa, between the scapula neck and caudal angle. Probably as a result of the use of the curved edge of the scapula in some processing activity such as the scraping and cutting of animal sinew.
