Mug, hard-paste porcelain, cylindrical with straight sides that narrow slightly toward the rim, loop handle with a thumb rest that is moulded on in the shape of a heart, flat base; the edge is painted brown, the rim is painted with a cell border in underglaze blue, the front centre is painted with a panel containing four figures sitting under a tree in a landscape framed by a floral border in underglaze blue, each side of the panel is decorated with a smaller panel containing a landscape painted in red and framed by an underglaze blue floral border and four large flower sprays in underglaze blue and overpainted in yellow, green, red and gold.
