Gorse mill
Consists of a four-legged iron stand supporting the cutting machinery. The gorse is fed into a sheet iron 'box' and through two rollers, one if which is fluted. Behind the rollers is a five-bladed drum which cuts the bruised gorse. There is a fly-wheel, 4'11'' in diameter, and an iron crank-handle which is not the original. Bears two plates inscribed Charles Pickering Iron and Brass Founder, Pwllheli. There is also a wooden pulley-wheel for a belt drive which clips on to the fly-wheel. (Accession index card 1963)
