Medieval ceramic floor tile
Lewis Group 20 no.281 No detectable impression. 4-tile design: highly decorated circular band with alternating lozenges and circles enclosing tracery and foliage motifs; a wyvern in each corner. The lower corner is chamfered, so that the setting could accomodate a central 120mm tile set diagonally. BM Design 1047; cf.Keynsham Abbey (lowe n.d., no.88)
