Teapot and cover
Teapot, hard-paste porcelain, drum-shaped body with rounded spreading foot-rim and cylindrical sides, slightly raised lip-rim, plain straight spout, high loop handle moulded with bamboo-style banding and with foliate moulding to the lower terminal, round very slightly domed cover with a finial modelled in the form of a lemon and a pierced steam hole to one side; finely painted in polychrome enamels with to either side of the exterior body of the teapot a large floral spray surrounded by further floral sprigs, smaller floral sprays in puce to the cover, puce brushwork decoration to the spout and handle, the lemon finial painted in yellows and greens.
