Early Bronze Age pottery food vessel
Round-shouldered vase form, grey ware with very coarse grits grey to buff surface, three vestigial unperforated lugs on a broad, shallow shoulder groove and internally bevelled rim. The decoration consists of four broad shallow grooves just below the shoulder, vertical or diagonal nicking between the grooves and swathes of narrow, sharp furrows forming chevrons on the rest of the surface. Savory's Irish type E but with Yorkshire rim and slackened profile suggesting a later date.
