Late Bronze Age socketed sickle
With a single broad flat mid-rib springing from the head of the rectangular-sectioned socket running along the curved blade. The socket has two pairs of large rivet-holes.

Notes: Found on the flood plain between the Ely and Taff rivers, near the football ground, in a shallow bed of river sand at a depth of one metre under the turf.
