Dish, vegetable, and cover
Vegetable dish, earthenware, round-ended oblong shape, standing on a spreading oblong short pedestal foot, the foot-rim lobed and moulded with several raised bands around it, oblong body with rounded curving sides flaring out to the rim, the rim lobed and moulded with several raised bands around it, to either end of the dish the rim extends into two solid raised handles moulded with foliate scrolls, oblong high domed cover with flat collar-like rim moulded with a waved raised band around it, to the top of the cover a vertical scroll handle, a moulded flower head to the top of the handle; transfer-printed in blue with to the interior and exterior of the dish and to the cover large spreading sprays of flowers and foliage and smaller sprays of flowers and foliage, some with shells, borders to the foot-rim, interior lip-rim and the rim of the cover of small circles and diamond shapes issuing small flowers, small cracks to the foot-rim and lip-rim of the dish, a brownish tinge to the glaze of the interior of the dish.
