Globular bowl or jar, with shallow domed cover, branch or crabstock handles with tendrils of encrusted flowers spreading over the body, shallow foot rim; the cover wreathed with encrusted flowers and with a large naturalistic rose finial; one side painted with a view of Durham Cathedral from across the river, the other with a luxuriant arrangement of garden flowers, the handles enamelled green and the encrusted flowers naturalistically coloured; bowl and cover with gilt scroll and hatched cartouche borders at neck
