Plate, soft-paste 'duck egg' porcelain, with a green translucency; standing on a foot rim curving into flared spreading sides; painted with set pattern 216 - a Japan pattern of stylised iron red flowers with underglaze blue and green leaves with a colourful bird and butterflies; narrow underglaze blue border with gilt stars, gilt lip.
