Pardoe, Thomas (1770-1823)
Centre dish or comport, whitish earthenware, standing on an oval trumpet-shaped foot supporting a shaped oval bowl with an asymmetrical scroll handle at each end; relief-moulded decoration round the foot and the rim of roses (?), tulips and other flowers, scrolled moulding at each end of the bowl, the centre of the bowl painted in enamels with an arrangement of fruit (melons, grapes, a fig, gooseberries(? - painted in red)), gold lines round the foot, rim and the centre of the bowl, gilded details on the handles and scrolled moulding.
