Roman samian bowl
Several sherds from a bowl with a sharply carinated profile. The upper zone is panelled, with animal figure-types and panels of arrowheads, the lower has a scroll with heart-shaped leaves, and figure-types and arrowheads in the lower concavities. The running dog is probably O.1922, but the hare cannot be identified. The heart-shaped leaf occurs on Knorr 1919, Taf. 17, 19 (Calvus), Taf 22, 9 (Censor) and Taf 82, 9. The design of the lower zone is comparable with Knorr 1919, Taf 23, A (OF COELI).
