Eisteddfod prize bag awarded to Mair Jones (Mair Afan), 1930.
Small bag of salmon coloured silk fabric, chain stitch embroidered with gold-coloured yarn: '1930' on front of bag and a line of chain stitches along the upper edge, front and back. A running stitch has been worked through the upper edge and the fabric has been slightly gathered along it. The side edges and the single turn-back along the upper edge have been secured with running stitches in fine white thread (probably cotton). Pink silk ribbon stitched to either side with decorative bows for wearing around neck.
