Cream jug
Cream jug, circular, standing on shallow gadrooned foot, the lower part of the body embossed with a 'hobnail' scale pattern, gadrooned shoulders, and low neck, cast band of twisted gadroons, shells and anthemions at the lip, short upturned spout, ornamented at the base with acanthus, high curved handle comprising two linked serpents; the interior gilt. Engraved on one side with the arms of Broughton (Argent, two bars gules, on a canton of the second, a cross of the first), quartering Delves (Argent, a chevron gules fretty or, between 3 sods sable) and a baronet's badge, below an open helment and mantling, and on the other with two crests, a sea dog's head (Broughton) and out of a ducal coronet, a demi heron displayed.
