Jug
Jug, pearlware, standing on a rounded spreading foot-rim, globular body, cylindrical neck, plain beak spout, scrolled handle with raised thumb-spur; decorated with to the front of the exterior body below the spout the initials "MC" in gilt surrounded by gilt foliate and star-shaped motifs, to either side of the body a design of silver lustre ears of barley enclosed by a wreatrh of vine leaves, around the exterior neck a border of silver lustre hatched triangles enclosing white shield-shapes, silver lustre bands around the lower body, shoulder and interior and exterior lip-rim, the underside of the spout covered in silver lustre, a design of silver lustre dashes to the handle.
