COLONIAL EMPIRE. Built 1902 by John Reid & Co. Ltd., Glasgow, for the Empire Line (George Duncan & Co) London. She ran aground and was wrecked at Thunderbolt Reef, Algoa Bay, South Africa, in September 1917 while carrying kerosene for the Anglo-American Oil Company.
