Dish
Large dish of red earthenware, standing on a concave base, the sides rounded and gently spreading then flaring sharply to form a broad, shelving outer rim; the base and exterior sides unglazed, the interior with a rich, red tinged brown glaze; the rim decorated in yellow slip with loosely trailed c shapes back to back in pairs, each pair joined by a horizontal line intersected by a vertical line, giving the impression of a horse's bit, the motifs interspersed by random splashed dots also in yellow slip.
