Pot-lid
Pot-lid, earthenware, circular shape with cylindrical flange and convex top; the upperside of the lid decorated with an underglaze polychrome transfer-print of 'Cattle and Ruins' (although this title is not recorded on the lid), showing a mountainous landscape with in the foreground cattle, sheep and a seated female figure, and beyond ruined towers and archways, the print enclosed by an elaborate circular border of looping arching lines and flowerheads. The glaze crazed.
