Sucrier with cover
Sucrier, black basalt, standing on a rounded flaring foot-rim, bulbous body with concave neck and flaring rim, a scalloped edge to the lip-rim, round domed cover with to the top a nipple-topped finial with a pierced hole through it, a wide band of of a granulated ground around the centre of the exterior body of the sucrier over which is applied a wreath of flowers and foliage, a further wide band of a granulated ground around the sides of the cover, a diagonal milled band around the shoulder of the sucrier, narrow bands of pearl beading around the neck of the sucrier and the sides of the cover; the sucrier and cover glazed.
