Sampler
WOOLLEN CANVAS, embroidered with coloured silks, chiefly in cross stitch. At the top are verses. Beneath is the inscription: "Mary Wedlock aged 10 years January 1823". At the bottom are ash trees, roses and other floral designs and two stags, all symmetrically arranged, There is a border of a wavy stem with buds.
Worked by donor's great-aunt. From Helston, Cornwall.
